The Benin Bronze Hood is a sculpture made in response to the collection of Benin Bronze Heads found in the British Museum. The contemporary subject matter plays with the concept of age and stature often given to the subjects depicted in bronze statues.
The piece was hand cast using the Lost Wax Technique and finished with a dark brown patina adding to the impression of age for an otherwise contemporary subject.
